Walk or drive to the rivulet nearby, it is the River Cauvery, but it so close to the source here that it is a pure, clear rivulet. Of course, during the rains it broadens and becomes fast-flowing.

Play Frisbee or cricket in the empty grassland next to the Rivulet. This forested land is 2 km away and is part of the Cloud Valley property.

Set up a tent on the river banks, lie in your sleeping bag and read through the day. Or sit on the rocks in the river with a drink.

Or wander around the forest near the river, with your binoculars, watching the birds. You will find varieties of kingfisher, wagtails, and cranes. Emerald parakeets that screech to a halt at giant branches overhead. Feeding jungle fowl that disappear in a flash when they see you.

Small animals are around, though one needs to be lucky to spot them due to their nocturnal nature. Rabbits, foxes, mongoose, and wild boar.

Slip on walking shoes and explore the rising and dipping country roads.

Sit in the verandah of Cloud Valley and soak in the greenery, and the peace and quiet.

Enjoy the bonfire we provide in the compound every night. Convert the verandah into a dance floor for the night.
